The renter is responsible for traffic offences committed during the rental period and for related amounts permitted by the signed agreement. Because some fines appear after the vehicle is returned, the rental company may notify or charge the renter later. Any administration fee should be stated clearly in the rental agreement.

Quick facts

Point What customers should know
Responsibility Offences during the rental period are the renter’s responsibility.
Delayed notices A fine may appear after return.
Evidence Ask for the official notice and offence details.
Admin fees Must be disclosed by the rental terms.
Dispute route Follow the issuing authority’s process and notify Al Madina promptly.

How fines are assigned

The vehicle registration receives the official notice. Al Madina compares the offence date and time with the rental record to identify the responsible renter.

What may be charged

The official fine is payable by the responsible renter. Black-point, impoundment, release or administration consequences depend on the offence, authority and agreement.

If you believe a fine is wrong

Request the official notice showing the vehicle, location, time and offence. Contact Al Madina immediately and use the issuing authority’s review or objection process where available.

Practical example

A speed-camera offence may be posted after the car is returned. The offence time can still be matched to the signed handover and return record.

Before you book

  • Keep the rental agreement and handover times.
  • Ask how later fines will be communicated.
  • Request official evidence for any disputed fine.
  • Never ignore a time-limited objection process.

Al Madina policy

Final eligibility, charges and rental conditions depend on document verification, the selected vehicle, availability, insurer requirements and the confirmed rental agreement. Ask Al Madina to confirm any condition that is important to your booking in writing before payment or handover.
