Al Madina offers a choice of deposit options, including zero-deposit rentals on selected vehicles as well as refundable cash or card deposits. Whether a deposit applies depends on the selected vehicle, rental duration, payment method and booking conditions. Always confirm the deposit type, amount, collection method, possible deductions and expected release process in writing before booking.
Quick facts
| Point | What customers should know |
|---|---|
| Deposit options | Zero-deposit on selected vehicles, or a refundable cash/card deposit. |
| Deposit amount | When one applies, it varies by vehicle and confirmed agreement. |
| Possible deductions | Can include authorised charges under the agreement. |
| Release timing | Depends on payment channel and completion of post-rental checks. |
| Best protection | Obtain the complete terms in writing before payment. |
Why deposits are used
A deposit can secure obligations that may not be final at vehicle return, such as damage liability, tolls, fines, fuel differences or other agreed charges. It is not the same as the rental price.
Zero-deposit rentals
Zero-deposit rentals are available on selected vehicles. A zero-deposit option does not mean the renter has no liability: Salik, fines, damage excess, fuel, extra mileage and contractual charges can still be payable after the rental. Confirm which vehicles qualify when you request a quotation.
Before authorising a deposit
If a deposit applies, confirm the exact amount, whether it is a hold or a payment, the payment method, potential deductions, the evidence provided for any deduction and the expected release process. Keep the receipt and rental agreement.
Practical example
An economy booking may qualify for a zero-deposit option, while a higher-value vehicle may require a refundable deposit. Both remain subject to the signed agreement and later charges such as Salik or fines.
Before you book
- Ask whether your vehicle qualifies for zero-deposit.
- If a deposit applies, confirm the amount and possible deductions.
- Photograph the vehicle at handover and return.
- Keep receipts and the final account statement.
Al Madina policy
Final eligibility, charges and rental conditions depend on document verification, the selected vehicle, availability, insurer requirements and the confirmed rental agreement. Ask Al Madina to confirm any condition that is important to your booking in writing before payment or handover.
